Anup Jalota is an Indian singer, musician, and actor best known for his performances of devotional bhajans and ghazals. He began his musical career as a chorus singer in All India Radio, and has since popularly become known as the Bhajan Samraat (Emperor of Bhajans). Some of his most popular bhajans include Aisi Lagi Lagan, Mein Nahi Makhan Khayo, Rang De Chunariya, and many more. He received the Padma Shri in 2012 for Indian Classical Music – Vocals.
