Chinmayi’s singing career began when she won Sun TV’s, Saptaswarangal where she was then introduced to A.R. Rahman by legendary singer, Srinivas. She rose to fame for her performance in Rahman’s “Oru Deivam Thanta Poovae” from the National Award winning film Kannathil Muthamittal. Chinmayi made her Bollywood debut, and has since sung a number of enchanting favorites, including “Mayya” from the film Guru, Titli, Mein Rang Sharbaton Ka, Tere Bina, and others. Chinmayi has now sung 1,000+ songs in over 8 languages, and has won numerous awards.
